Cinemas shift screenings of foreign films amid the release of the film “Challenge”

Russian cinemas, where foreign blockbusters can be found at the box office under the guise of “pre-screening service”, have temporarily stopped showing some of them. The Bulletin of the Film Distributor was the first to notice this.

So, in the Mirage network you can still buy tickets for Super Mario Brothers in Cinema on April 19, while it is no longer possible to purchase tickets for sessions after April 20, Kommersant was convinced. This also applies to another picture at the box office – Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. You can not buy tickets in another network – “Kinomax”. There, from April 20, screenings of the films “Shazam! Fury of the Gods, as well as Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Mania.

The situation is similar in the Almaz cinema chain: the films Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, the same Super Mario Brothers in the Cinema, as well as Avatar: The Way of Water disappeared from the repertoire. Earlier, on April 18, the industry publication Cinemaplex reported that cinemas received recommendations from the distribution company of the film “The Challenge” – “Central Partnership” not to work with alternative content for three weeks after the start of the release.
