Head of MegaFon: Nokia received one of four permits to export to Russia

The head of MegaFon, Khachatur Pombukhchan, said that Finnish Nokia had submitted four applications for a license to export to Russia. According to him, two of them were sent to European regulators, two to the American one. Regulators have already satisfied one of the applications, decisions on three are expected.
“Yes, they are leaving Russia, but they are trying to do it right, complete contract obligations, obtain an export license, supply the missing equipment. As far as I know, they made four applications for export licenses, two to European regulators, two to American ones. One was positively satisfied, three are awaiting decisions,” Khachatur Pombukhchan said in an interview. RBC.
In early November, RBC, citing sources informedthat Nokia requested from the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the US Bureau of Industry and Security export licenses for the supply of telecommunications equipment to Russia.
