Handelsblatt: Rosneft is suing Germany over its subsidiaries
[ad_1]
Due to the fact that in September the German government transferred the German subsidiaries of Rosneft to the Federal Grid Agency for trust management, the Russian energy company sued the German Cabinet. The newspaper reports Handelsblatt with reference to the law firm Malmendier Legal, which was hired by Rosneft for the trial.
“To date, Rosneft has fully fulfilled its obligations for the supply of crude oil, there have been no interruptions in supplies and failures in operation,” Rosneft representatives explain the reasons why the company considers the actions of the German government unjustified. So far, nothing is known about the reaction of the German side to the lawsuit.
Rosneft Deutschland GmbH and RN Refining & Marketing GmbH, the German subsidiaries of Rosneft, were given away by the German government to the management of the Federal Network Agency for six months on September 16. The German Cabinet explained this decision by the need to ensure internal energy security in the country. A similar model for managing the German assets of Gazprom was introduced in Germany in spring.
