Boris Grebenshchikov’s concert was canceled in Dubai after two cancellations in India
The concert of Boris Grebenshchikov (included in the register of foreign agents in the Russian Federation) in Dubai, which was supposed to take place the other day, has been cancelled. Information about this appeared on social networks of the artist’s unofficial fan communities, and corresponding markings began to appear on ticket sales sites.
One of the ticket services claims that the reason for the cancellation of the concert in the UAE was due to some health problems of Grebenshchikov. The service’s statement also emphasized that “the reason for canceling the concert is in no way related to political pressure.”
Last week it became known about the cancellation of two Grebenshchikov performances in the Indian state of Goa. The club in Arambol, where the first concert was supposed to take place, said that it was “cancelled due to reasons beyond our control and the organizers.” The club in Morjim said the event was canceled “due to unforeseen circumstances.”
Representatives of Grebenshchikov have not yet commented on reports of alleged problems with his health. The artist’s official website contains an announcement of upcoming events, the nearest of which is scheduled for the end of March.
