Gloria Jeans’ flagship store on an area of 4.7 thousand square meters was opened on Tverskaya, where the Swedish retailer H&M, the largest store in Russia, was previously located. This was reported by the correspondent “RIA News”.
According to Gloria Jeans, the store on Tverskaya is the largest operating mono-brand store in Russia. There is a customization area, as well as entertainment and lounge spaces. The festive opening will take place on April 8-9. The company won the tender for the area in March despite strong competition.
Gloria Jeans announced the opening of stores at the H&M squares at the end of December. According to the chairman of the board of directors of Gloria Jeans, Vladimir Melnikov, the first days of the store’s operation exceeded expectations. H&M announced its withdrawal from the Russian market in July last year.
Now Gloria Jeans stores operate in Belarus and Kazakhstan, the company plans to enter the markets of Asia and Israel. Approximately 20% of products are produced in Russia, China and Vietnam, the rest – in Turkey, India and other countries.
