In the summer, amendments were adopted in Germany, which obliged the operators of gas storage facilities to fill them by 85% by October, by 95% by November.
Earlier, German Economy Minister Robert Habek said that work to fill gas storage facilities is going faster than planned. He also said that the goal of filling gas storage facilities by 85% could be achieved in September.
Since the beginning of the summer, Gazprom has reduced the flow of gas through the Nord Stream. The company said that this is due to problems with the repair of equipment due to sanctions.
Since August 31, the gas pipeline has been completely stopped for repair work. Gazprom reported that gas pumping would be resumed from September 3, but later the company stated, which will stop it from running indefinitely. Gazprom claims that the detected malfunctions do not allow for the safe operation of the gas turbine engine.
