Gazprom consolidated a controlling stake in Gazprom Media Holding

Gazprom Group (MOEX: GAZP) announced the consolidation of a controlling stake in Gazprom-Media Holding JSC. According to message company, the transaction is of a technical nature, Gazprombank will continue to be a minority shareholder.
The company clarified that the purpose of the transaction is to ensure vertically integrated management of the media assets of the Gazprom group.
JSC Gazprom-Media Holding is the largest media holding in Russia, owning assets in news broadcasting, television, cinema, content production and distribution, digital services, radio, press and online publications. In particular, the media holding owns the TNT and NTV-Plus television channels, as well as the Rutube video hosting service. For the period from June 30, 2022 to June 20, 2023, the holding’s revenue increased by 12% and amounted to RUB 129 billion.
