At the same time, in the storage facilities of Europe on August 23, stocks reached 77.5%, Interfax reported.
On June 27, the Council of the EU approved a regulation on the filling of UGS facilities, according to which, by November 1, 2022, the storage facilities of the EU member states must be filled at least 80%. From 2023, it is planned to raise this bar to 90%. The initiative is designed to strengthen the energy security of the community ahead of the heating season.
