Games of the Future and SMP-Racing signed a strategic partnership contract

Within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), an agreement was signed on a strategic partnership between the Russian motorsport development program SMP Racing and the Games of the Future project, an international multisport tournament in the figital concept that will unite competitions in the physical and digital dimensions. As part of the partnership, SMP Racing will become the organizer of the first Figital Auto Championship, which will take place in Sochi in 2024 during the World Youth Festival.

“We have a very interesting connection between the Games of the Future and the Festival of Youth and Students, which will be held in Sochi on the tenth anniversary of the end of the Olympic Games on the Formula 1 track. Here, a huge audience from all over the world will have the opportunity to see unique athletes on unique fireballs, who will demonstrate their skills both in digital and in the real environment,” said Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.

According to Boris Rotenberg, the founder and head of the SMP Racing program, licensed international tracks, cars of world brands, historical cars and racing prototypes will be presented at a new stage in the development of the domestic racing simulator. “This will meet the expectations of not only professional racers, but also car enthusiasts. We expect that the simulator will become the basis of the domestic game development industry, organizing sports training for cybersportsmen, improving road safety, developing career potential and attracting talent,” said Mr. Rotenberg.

The first Games of the Future tournament, which will be held in Kazan from February to March 2024, will be attended by 256 teams and over 2,000 athletes from different countries. Competitions will be held in 16 innovative disciplines and will be divided into 5 categories or challenges: sports, tactics, strategy, technology, speed.
