‘Game of Thrones’ prequel put on hold due to writers’ strike

Work on the script for the next prequel to the Game of Thrones series has been temporarily stopped due to the Writers Guild of America strike. This was announced by the writer George R. R. Martin, whose books are based on the series.
“The office of the screenwriters working on the TV series “Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: Knight of the Landmark” is closed for a while (strike.— “b”). Ira Parker (screenwriter.— “b”) and his wonderful team of young talents are picketing,” Mr. Martin wrote in his blog.
He clarified that the strike would not affect filming for the second season of House of Dragons, which began in April. The writer confirmed that the second season will have eight episodes.

Their main characters are the knight Duncan the Tall and Prince Aegon Targaryen. The novels take place 90 years before the events of the A Song of Ice and Fire novels, which are based on Game of Thrones.
