The government will consider the possibility of building a high-speed railway line (HSR) Moscow-Minsk, Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Vitaly Savelyev said at a session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia.
He recalled plans to build a high-speed line from Moscow to St. Petersburg. “We have an overwhelming majority of government members for the SCM. And at the next pace, we will see the second part of the road to Minsk,” the minister said (quoted by TASS). He added that investors for the construction of the high-speed line to St. Petersburg and the creation of a new rolling stock have now been found.
