Freedom Holding closes deal to sell Russian business

American Freedom Holding Corp. completed the transfer of assets in Russia to the new owner. The entire Russian business of the holding became the property of Maxim Povalishin, one of the founders of Freedom Finance (it was renamed Tsifra Bank).
The company has completely abandoned doing business in the Russian market. All settlements between Freedom Holding and the new owner have been completed, according to a company press release (Kommersant has it).
15 February Central Bank approved the sale of the holding’s Russian subsidiaries, including Tsifra Broka and Tsifra Bank. Agreement for the sale and purchase of a 100% stake in the authorized capital of LLC IC Freedom Finance and LLC Bank Freedom Finance Freedom Holding Corp. concluded in October 2022.
