Former Zara brand stores will begin to open in shopping centers in Moscow and the Moscow region on April 27, reports “RIA Real Estate” with reference to sources. As previously written Kommersant FM, the former points of the Spanish group Inditex in Russia – including Zara – were bought out by Fashion And More Management. Stores will operate under new brands: Maag (to replace Zara), Dub, Ecru, Vilet, etc.

“Maag stores in the Aviapark shopping center are scheduled to start working on April 27. Also, Dub and Vilet should start their work, ”said the interlocutor of RIA Real Estate. On the same day, Maag stores will open in Vegas malls, according to an agency source in the company that owns the chain, Crocus Group.

The fact that the Russian authorities approved the sale of Russian assets of Inditex (more than 200 stores), April 5 informed Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Viktor Evtukhov. The office of the buyer company, Fashion And More Management, according to the deputy minister, is located “in one of the friendly countries.” Kommersant FM found out that a company with the same name is registered in the free zone of the United Arab Emirates.

The owner of the brands Zara, Bershka, Pull&Bear, Oysho, Stradivarius and others, the Spanish group Inditex suspended its work in Russia in March 2022. A year later, it became known that the company had finally decided close 269 ​​out of 514 stores in Russia (by the beginning of 2022, Inditex had approximately 500 stores in Russia, employing more than 9,000 people).

Representatives of the company Rmixed announced that the opening of the first MAAG store on the site of the Zara boutique on the street. Neglinnaya in Moscow took place today, April 26. Previously Vedomosti wrote that Rmixed will manage the former assets of Inditex in Russia.
