Former First Deputy Chairman of the Board of VTB Puchkov appointed as the new CEO of USC

Former First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of VTB Bank Andrey Puchkov has been appointed General Director of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC), Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov said.
“I am sure that Andrey Sergeevich’s rich managerial experience, coupled with a clear understanding of the goals and objectives currently facing the shipbuilding industry, will help to quickly stabilize the financial condition of the largest state-owned shipbuilding holding,” said Mr. Manturov, quoted by the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade RF. He clarified that he had already signed a directive on the election of Andrey Puchkov as the general director of USC, and the new board of directors of the corporation was also approved.
Earlier today, August 23, the press service of VTB informed about the departure of Mr. Puchkov from the bank after 20 years of work in a financial institution.
The day before, the Russian government put forward Andrey Puchkov and the head of VTB Andrey Kostin to the USC Supervisory Board. The Cabinet of Ministers decided to transfer USC to VTB’s trust management for five years.
