In the Trans-Baikal Territory, the regional air carrier Aeroservice has suspended flights on subsidized routes to hard-to-reach settlements. As Kommersant was told by the regional Ministry of Construction, Road Facilities and Transport, the carrier did not agree with the amount of payments established by the regional tariff service. Flights have been suspended to Krasnokamensk, Krasny Chikoy, Gazimursky Zavod, Menza, Kyra, Tungokochen, Yumurchen, Ust-Karenga.
“The carrier was not satisfied with the amount of the regional subsidy covering the shortfall in ticket prices. We are currently working to resolve the situation,” the ministry added.
East Siberian Transport Prosecutor’s Office on this fact organized check. Based on its results, the department is ready to take prosecutorial response measures if there are grounds.
It was previously reported that in July 2023 Aeroservice will already suspended flights in these directions due to the lack of funding from the regional budget. A week later, flights were resumed under guarantees from the government of Transbaikalia.
