The entertainment portal Fishki.net was included in the register of organizers of the dissemination of information on the Internet (ORI). The site was registered listed April 3rd.
PIOs are required to store information about the facts of receiving, transmitting, delivering or processing voice information, written text, images, sounds, video or other electronic messages of users, as well as data about these users within a year from the date of implementation of these actions. The data itself is up to six months from the date of processing. The RIOs are required to share this information with law enforcement upon request.
Fishki.net is a user-generated entertainment and news content portal, the Russian equivalent of the English-language BuzzFeed. It was launched in 2004 by programmer Alexander Rybak, and in 2008 it was sold to the RBC media group. In 2013, the site was bought by entrepreneur Mikhail Gurevich.
