According to the Cinema Fund, the box office of Russian cinemas in 2022 fell by 42%, to 24 billion rubles. 2.1 thousand cinemas and 5.3 thousand cinema halls hold regular screenings. However, the support measures that the president instructed the government to work out as part of a visit to the Creative Economy Development exhibition turned out to be unexpected.
