FAS proposes to subsidize the purchase of fertilizers on the exchange

The Federal Antimonopoly Service proposes to subsidize part of the costs of farmers for the purchase of fertilizers on the exchange. This is stated in the draft roadmap for the development of exchange trading for 2022–2025. (Vedomosti has it), the developer of which is the service. A source familiar with the preparation of the document confirmed its relevance.
According to the FAS, subsidizing will increase trading volumes on the exchange and form liquid exchange and over-the-counter indicators of prices for mineral fertilizers. The corresponding decree of the government of the Russian Federation is planned to be prepared in the fourth quarter of 2023, follows from the draft document. The FAS and the Ministry of Agriculture are indicated as responsible executors. It is not clear how the subsidy will be provided.
