The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) fined Krasnodar fuel companies NTK and Kubanoil for 98.4 million and 12.26 million rubles. respectively. How reported department, the companies violated antitrust laws by concluding an anticompetitive agreement.

“The companies ensured that contracts were awarded at the highest possible price. At the same time, when competing with each other, NTK LLC and Kubanoil LLC would have to submit their price proposals, reducing the initial maximum contract price,” the FAS reported.

In October 2023, the FAS sent a letter to oil companies and independent gas stations about the need to reduce fuel prices. In the same month, cases were initiated in five regions on grounds of violation of the law on the protection of competition. In January FAS reportedwhich will request data from oil companies on the dynamics of changes in fuel prices since September last year.
