The Federal Antimonopoly Service allowed “UK Agrocapital” to acquire 100% of the Oryol company for growing greenhouse vegetables “EkoProdukt”. This was reported in the telegram channel of the service on January 26. According to the Federal Antimonopoly Service, “the deal will not limit competition on the Russian vegetable market.” The petition itself was filed on December 19, 2022.
Agrocapital Management Company is part of the Rost Group of Companies, which calls itself the leader in the protected ground vegetable market in Russia. The group unites 16 greenhouse complexes with an area of 400 hectares and an annual production of 400,000 tons. The group specializes in the cultivation of tomatoes, cucumbers and various salads. The main owner of Rost is businessman Sergey Rukin. Consolidated finance revenue is not disclosed.
“EcoProduct” GC “Rost” plans to acquire to expand its own production base, the petition said. The total area of the Orlovsky greenhouse complex is 7 hectares, and the annual production capacity is 3,500 tons of cucumbers and tomatoes.
