The farewell ceremony for the poet and screenwriter Yuri Arabov will take place on December 30 at the Troyekurovskoye cemetery, the press service of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia reported. Mr. Arabov died December 27 at the age of 69.
“The funeral service will take place on Saturday, December 30 at 11:00 in the Church of the Holy Trinity of the Life-Giving in Khokhly. The funeral will take place at the Troyekurovskoye cemetery at 14:00,” the press service reported (quoted from RIA Novosti).
Yuri Arabov was born on October 25, 1954. In 1980 he graduated from VGIK. He made his film debut as a screenwriter for the film “The Lonely Voice of a Man.” During his creative career, Mr. Arabov wrote scripts for 39 films and mini-series. In 1999, Yuri Arabov was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Russia.
