The performance of the unified information system of customs in the Far East “is almost completely restored,” the Federal Customs Service (FCS) said. According to the agency, the electronic declaration centers have resumed their work, “auto-registration and auto-release are functioning.”
Customs operations at checkpoints are again carried out electronically. “As of 8:00 Moscow time on April 12, 1,057 declarations for goods were registered at the DVTU, 729 were issued. This exceeds the average performance,” the FCS said in a statement. Telegram.
A failure in the IT systems of the FCS, caused, according to the service, by a cyber attack, stopped customs clearance procedures in Russia for two days. Due to the failure, vehicles with cargo – regardless of the mode of transportation – did not enter or leave the country. The FCS called the cause of the failure a cyber attack.
