Export prices for Russian steel billets rose to the highest since May 2022

Export prices for Russian steel square billets have increased by $40/t since the beginning of February 2023. The average price for the week of February 20-26 reached $590/t FOB Black Sea. This follows from a review by the industry agency Metals & Mining Intelligence (MMI) dated February 27. According to MMI, this is the highest since the end of May 2022.
This price level was confirmed to Vedomosti by two international traders. According to one of them, at the beginning of the current week (since February 27) prices continued to grow and reached $610-620/t.
