Export of fish products from Primorye and Sakhalin has increased by a third since the beginning of the year

This year, the Primorsky Interregional Directorate of the Rosselkhoznadzor has issued for export 11,450 batches of fish and seafood with a total weight of 876,024.6 tons. This is 34% more than in 2022, according to message departments.
The largest importer of fish and seafood is China, which has received 514,189 tons since the beginning of 2023. Over the same period last year, exports to China amounted to 198,868 tons. Thus, supplies increased by 2.7 times. Also, major importers of fish and seafood from Primorye and Sakhalin are South Korea – 331,812 tons, Japan – 10,050 tons, Nigeria – 7575 tons and Thailand – 6293 tons.
In total, products from the Primorsky Territory and the Sakhalin Region are registered in 16 countries. “Among the types of products most in demand among importers are pollock, cod, live crab,” informs the Primorsky Interregional Department of Rosselkhoznadzor.
