Exchange me // Fortum and Uniper assets responded for attempts to nationalize Russian property in the EU
[ad_1]
Russia for the first time went to the introduction of external management of assets of foreign companies in response to attempts by the authorities of some EU countries to nationalize Russian property. The generating companies Fortum and Unipro, owned by the Finnish Fortum and the German Uniper, came under the temporary control of the Federal Property Management Agency. Now these companies are headed by people from Rosneft structures, whose German assets were taken over by the German authorities in 2022. The Federal Property Management Agency does not have the right to sell shares of foreigners, but, according to Kommersant’s information, the issue of a possible transfer of assets to other owners is already being discussed.
