Ex-governor of the Krasnodar Territory and head of the agricultural enterprise “Agrocomplex named after N.I. Tkachev” Alexander Tkachev said that by 2028 a year-round golf resort with an 18-hole course will be built in Sochi. A businessman acts as an investor. At the first stage alone, he will invest more than 20 billion rubles in the project.

“In the south of Russia there are no full-fledged golf courses, the demand for which is growing. This is a request from tourists, and we as a business respond to it. By 2028, we plan to create a year-round golf resort with a championship course of 18 holes on an area of 166 hectares,” Alexander Tkachev told RIA Novosti.

The construction of a golf resort is planned as part of the Sochi Golf project. The project infrastructure will include villas and a hotel complex. The volume of investments at the first stage will be 28.3 billion rubles. According to Alexander Tkachev, there is currently a shortage of large premium resorts and hotels with about 500 or more rooms in Russia. “A significant increase in tourist flow requires more high-quality infrastructure,” he believes.

In August 2023, the Kuban company “Agrocomplex named after N.I. Tkachev” took second place in the ranking of the largest latifundists in Russia, according to the consulting company BEFL. As of May last year, Agrocomplex owned 1,104 thousand hectares. Over the year, the company increased its land bank by 286 thousand hectares.

As noted Forbes, over the 14 years of Alexander Tkachev’s governorship, the revenue of the Agrocomplex holding, owned by his family, increased 33 times – from 800 million to 26.5 billion rubles. In 2014, Agrocomplex received about 40 thousand hectares of land controlled by the Tsapkov family and local deputy Vladimir Tsepovyaz. Tsapki became known in the fall of 2010 after the murder of the family of farmer Ametov in the village of Kushchevskaya.
