Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has warned of the consequences of the European Union (EU) limiting Russian gas supplies. According to Mr. Erdogan, European countries “expect significant difficulties” in winter.
“Now everyone in Europe is wondering how this winter will go,” the Turkish president said at a meeting with members of the Turkish Youth Foundation in Istanbul (quoted by RIA Novosti). He assured that Turkey will not have problems with energy resources.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in September suggested introduce a ceiling on Russian gas prices. EU countries last week agreed the eighth package of anti-Russian sanctions, but gas restrictions were not included in it. Luxembourg thinksthat the introduction of a gas price ceiling could leave the EU without energy. Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation warnedwhich excludes the sale of oil or gas at a limited price.
Details – in the publication “Kommersant” “Oil and gas covered ceilings”.
