Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said that energy cooperation between the Russian Federation and Europe has been spoiled or frozen for a very long time. In his opinion, Europe, which has lost cheap energy resources from Russia, is facing difficult times for a long time.
“Europe castrated itself bloodily and without anesthesia by refusing energy cooperation with our country. It is spoiled or frozen for a very long time. But now America, rubbing its hands, supplies Europe with its LNG at exorbitant prices,” wrote the deputy chairman of the Security Council in “In contact with”.
Dmitry Medvedev said that as a result of the refusal of energy resources from the Russian Federation, the economies of the largest EU countries showed a significant decline and will “grow (if they do)” very slowly. In his opinion, for the weaker countries of Western Europe, “this is a lousy prospect.”
The Deputy Chairman of the Security Council cited September data from the European Commission, which worsened the growth forecast for the European economy in 2023 from 1.1% to 0.8%. Dmitry Medvedev also claims that inflation is skyrocketing in many EU countries.
