Dmitry Konov ceased to be a minority shareholder of SIBUR

The former chairman of the board of Sibur Holding, Dmitry Konov, who has been under EU sanctions since March 9, has ceased to be a minority shareholder of the oil and gas company. This was reported by Interfax with reference to the former top manager of SIBUR.
Previously, Mr. Konov owned 2.59% in the company. Now, according to Dmitry Konov’s statement on the sidelines of the Adipec conference, he does not have the right to buy back this stake.
After being included in the sanctions list, Mr. Konov left the position of Chairman of the Management Board of PJSC SIBUR Holding, and also resigned from the Board of Directors of PJSC SIBUR Holding, the Management Board of PJSC SIBUR Holding and LLC SIBUR.
On June 1, Dmitry Konov challenged the imposition of sanctions against him in the court of the European Union (EU), follows from the case file. Other details are not given there. According to the spokesman, Dmitry Konov believes that there were no factual or legal grounds for imposing sanctions.
