Amazon previously announced plans to cut another 9,000 employees. In the winter of this year, it was announced that Amazon would lay off more than 18,000 employees instead of 10,000 announced in November 2022. As a result, the total number of cuts will reach 27,000.

On March 14, it became known that the American corporation Meta (banned in Russia and recognized as an extremist organization), which owns Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, will lay off another 10,000 employees. At the same time, it is planned to close about 5,000 vacancies that are currently open. It is clarified that Meta made such a decision in order to improve its financial performance.
