Director Schneiderov estimated the chances of Chulpan Khamatova in Hollywood

However, it is impossible to completely change this “cultural footprint”. Shneiderov emphasized that actors speaking with an accent are doomed to play their compatriots – Russians, Bulgarians, Serbs.

In addition, it is more interesting for Americans to look at their own actors, Michelle Rodriguez or Nicole Kidman, than at Khamatova or Juliette Binoche. Even Jean Reno failed to make a career in Hollywood. He, like Gerard Deparlier, plays only the French.

“Therefore, if Chulpan has a good agent, then perhaps she will take some place in the cohort of actors playing immigrants from Europe,” the expert explained.

David Shneiderov added that only Americans play normal heroes in the USA. Foreign actors will follow the prevailing cliches. The Germans will play fascists, the Russians will play bandits, and the Italians will play schizophrenics.

“We also want to look more at Khabensky than at Tom Cruise in our cinema. Of course, we want to look at our own. It’s natural,” Shneiderov summed up.
