Actor and theater director Alexey Dubrovsky spoke at the farewell ceremony for Yuri Solomin.
Talking about the great artistic director and “captain” of the Maly Theater, Dubrovsky described the form of immortality that Yuri Solomin is acquiring before our eyes:
“Yuri Methodievich greatly appreciated the concepts of “theater is a home”, “theater is a family”. Solomin left a piece of his heart in the theater every day. These particles will live in each of us.”
Dubrovsky’s words are consonant with the speeches of the majority of those who took the floor on the stage where the coffin of the People’s Artist of the USSR stands: Solomin was the keeper of the traditions of the Russian theater, passing them on to the current generation.
Earlier, the Maly Theater assured that they would remain faithful to the course set by Solomin.
