Russian businessman Oleg Deripaska believes that the United States is failing with the introduction of a ceiling price for oil in the face of a high level of public debt. According to the businessman, the White House is now trying to avoid the sale of US debt, given that China is one of its largest holders.

However, Mr. Deripaska does not expect the dollar to collapse. The US Treasury imposed sanctions against Oleg Deripaska in 2018. He was banned from entering the country and had his assets frozen. Americans are prohibited from doing business with a Russian entrepreneur. At the end of September, the Ministry of Justice accused Oleg Deripaska of circumventing sanctions. The businessman faces up to 20 years in prison in the United States.
