Delphic Games started in Bishkek

The Arts Forum is being held in the Kyrgyz Republic for the first time

The 17th Youth Delphic Games began in Bishkek. The Kyrgyz Republic became the venue for the event for the first time. More than 600 people aged 10 to 25 years take part in competitions in 10 creative categories. Participants and guests of the Games get acquainted with local traditions, customs and culture of the Kyrgyz people.

The Delphic Games of the CIS countries will be held in the most significant places of Bishkek – the Kyrgyz National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after. A. Maldybaeva, Central Children’s Music School named after. P.F. Shubin, Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts named after. G. Aitieva, Bishkek Choreographic School named after. Ch. Bazarbayev, etc. The Russian team included more than 70 people from 13 regions. Participants will demonstrate their skills in such categories as piano, violin, fine arts, academic singing, solo folk singing, pop singing, folk dance, folk instruments, wind instruments, and artistic crafts. The jury of the competition included more than 30 artists, professors and doctors of art history from the CIS countries.

“The Delphic Games are truly an arts forum that not only demonstrates the talents of the younger generation, but also fulfills very important tasks on a global scale: uniting people on the basis of universal values, preserving world cultural heritage, and instilling respect for the cultures of nations and peoples. And where there is dialogue, there is development and stability,” said Andrei Belyaninov, Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, in his welcoming speech.

Based on the results of the competition, the winners of the Games will be awarded gold, silver and bronze medals. But regardless of who takes the palm, friendship will win.
