Crimean hoteliers are ready to extend their stay for free for tourists who are forced to stay on the peninsula due to an emergency on the bridge. This was announced by the President of the Russian Union of Tourism Industry Ilya Umansky.
“We talked to Crimean hoteliers. All hoteliers declare that they are ready to meet halfway and solve the issues of extending accommodation for people. If the tourists run out of funds or there is no possibility to renew, I think that everything will be provided to them there free of charge,” said he (quoted by TASS).
According to Umansky, hoteliers will not fine tourists who did not have time to check into hotels on time.
According to the PCT, about 20,000 tourists plan to leave Crimea in the coming days, and the same number, on the contrary, have planned a trip there. In this regard, Umansky recommended that tourists who are planning a trip to Crimea contact travel agencies so that they can find similar travel options there.
On the night of July 17, Ukrainian surface drones attacked the Crimean bridge, killing two people – a man and a woman, who were driving on the bridge in a car. Their minor daughter was injured. Later, the National Anti-Terrorism Committee qualified the incident as a terrorist attack. A criminal case has been initiated into the incident.
