In 2023, 519,997 cargo trailers passed through the Georgian corridor, and income amounted to 181,998,905 lari ($67,407 million), which is 42% more than in 2022. About it reported government department – National Statistics Service of Georgia.

According to them, growth continued in 2024. Thus, in January and February of this year, income from trailer cargo transportation amounted to 27,190,864 lari ($10.07 million), which is slightly more than in the same period last year—24,011,352 million lari ($8.893 million).

The growth of trailer cargo transportation through Georgia and the so-called middle corridor passing through the South Caucasus is explained by the rupture of a number of logistics chains and the blocking of some traditional road transportation routes after the start of a special military operation in Ukraine.
