The Central Bank is discussing the size of the commission for trade and service enterprises when making payments in digital rubles, First Deputy Chairman Olga Skorobogatova said. According to her, the commission will be no more than 0.3%.

“We are now discussing such a topic in order to provide for a digital ruble commission for trade and service enterprises of no more than 0.3% of the operation. Just the figure that business has been telling us all the time, ”said Ms. Skorobogatova to RBC (quoted from TASS).

The Central Bank expects the participation of 13 banks in a pilot project on the use of the digital ruble. The project will start as soon as the necessary laws are passed. Banks have already tested all the technical aspects and are “ready to move quickly into this story,” Ms. Skorobogatova added. According to her, a second pool of 10 banks has already been formed, which also want to participate in the pilot, “a third group of nine” banks is on its way.
