The Listvyazhnaya mine in the Kemerovo region resumed coal production after an accident in 2021 that killed more than 50 people. This was reported TASS with reference to the press service of the mine.
“The resumption of coal mining is an important step for our company. The entire staff of Listvyazhnaya made every effort to ensure that lava 824 and the mine as a whole met all industrial safety requirements,” the press service of the mine director Viktor Anufriev quotes.
November 25, 2021 at the Listvyazhnaya mine exploded methane-air mass. As a result, 51 people died, including five mine rescuers. On the fact of the explosion, the ICR opened a criminal case. Under the article on violation of industrial safety requirements (Article 217 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), the director of Listvyazhnoy Sergey Makhrakov, his first deputy Andrey Molostov and the head of the site Sergey Gerasimenko were arrested, under the article on negligence (Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), state inspectors of Rostekhnadzor Vyacheslav Semykin are also being held and Sergei Vinokurov.
In September 2022, the Rostechnadzor commission completed a technical investigation into the causes of the accident. In April 2023 at the mine resumed mining work.
