The Russian government has expanded the list of countries whose citizens can enter Russia with an e-visa. This right will be given to citizens of Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar.
As reported TASS In the press service of the government, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed an order to expand the list of countries to 55 states whose citizens are allowed to enter the Russian Federation on an electronic visa.
“A single electronic visa gives the right to a single entry with a guest or business visit, as a tourist, as well as to participate in scientific, cultural, socio-political, economic and sports events,” the government explained. A complete list of countries whose citizens will be able to take advantage of the opportunity to travel to Russia on an electronic visa has not yet been made public.
Formerly at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation reportedthat a unified electronic visa for foreigners will be launched in Russia from 10:00 on August 1. The law on electronic visas was adopted in 2020 and was supposed to come into force in early 2021. Its introduction was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. The electronic visa is intended for tourist, guest and business purposes of the visit, it will be valid for 60 days. The cost will be no more than $52.
