The Chechen index in the third quarter was 0.42 (last quarter it was at 1.47). Analysts explained this indicator by the fact that in Chechnya from July to September “there were practically no new trials related to corporate disputes or conflicts.”
At the same time, Ingushetia with an index of 6.28 (4.48 in the second quarter) became the most conflict-ridden region in Russia. Moscow took third place with an index of 3.92 (last quarter – 2.07).
At the same time, A1 noted a decrease in the federal index in the third quarter to 1.97 compared to 2.05 in the second quarter. In the first quarter it was even lower and amounted to 1.82. The presentation states that the high level of conflict in business “keeps pace with the overall high level of business activity.”
When calculating the indicator, the number of claims in arbitration courts and courts of general jurisdiction, selected on the topics of corporate disputes, the dynamics of media reports about corporate conflicts, as well as the number of companies sufficient for corporate disputes in a given market are taken into account.
In the fourth quarter of 2022, the conflict index of the Russian business environment fell below 2 for the first time in almost a year and a half and amounted to 1.9 points, wrote “Vedomosti”. Before this, the index was below 2 points in the first quarter (1.96) and third quarter (1.45) of 2021, and the indicator reached its peak in the first quarter of 2022 after the start of the special operation – 2.23.
