Logistics operator SDEK opened a fulfillment center in Shanghai due to increased trade between Russia and China, reported TASS in the press office of the company. Two local carriers became CDEK partners in China: SF Express (fast courier delivery, as well as delivery of small-sized cargo) and Deppon (large transportation up to 10 tons).
Fulfillment centers are designed to provide a range of warehousing services for online stores (storage and delivery of goods, shipping to marketplaces).
CDEK fulfillment in China has limitations – special economic zones located in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, clarified its representative Vladimir Burba. “Delivery of cargo from here to mainland China is already an import. Therefore, SDEK Fulfillment does not work with these territories,” he specified.
CDEK operates in 27 countries around the world. In 2022, CDEK-global’s RAS revenue amounted to RUB 25.2 billion, up 15.6% year-on-year. Net profit for the reporting period decreased by 13.3% to RUB 1.04 billion. CDEK fulfillment centers are open in five more countries – Russia, Italy (Milan), Azerbaijan (Baku), Kazakhstan (Almaty), Belarus (Minsk).
