The volume of transportation of railway cars and vehicles at the Vanino-Kholmsk ferry will be reduced in August-September. The reason will be the departure for a scheduled repair of the Sakhalin-8 cargo-passenger ferry, informed “Daltransservice”.
According to the company, in the second decade of August, Sakhalin-8 “is removed from the line and goes into scheduled repairs approximately until the first decade of October 2023.” Two ferries will operate on the Vanino-Kholmsk line for this period: Sakhalin-9, which specializes in the transport of dangerous goods, and Sakhalin-10.
It was assumed that in 2023 all three ferries should undergo scheduled repairs. In this regard, back in February, the Sakhalin authorities advised shippers to plan logistics in advance, including delivering goods to Sakhalin through the ports of Primorsky Krai.
