VTB Group (MOEX: VTBR) will be able to return to paying dividends in 2026, while dividends for 2025, taking into account the capital position, can amount to up to 80 billion rubles. First Deputy Chairman of the Board of VTB Dmitry Pyanov told reporters about this.
“The Supervisory Board agreed with the management’s opinion that, taking into account the return to Basel allowances according to the Central Bank’s schedule, the first year when, from the point of view of capital, VTB Group is able to pay external dividends is 2026,” said the top manager. However, the bank does not disclose its profit estimates for 2025. Earlier, the head of the bank, Andrei Kostin, stated that the bank, when returning to paying dividends, was going to adhere to the principle of 50% of profits.
As of November 1, 2023, VTB’s capital adequacy ratio (N1.0) was 9.5% with a minimum of 8%. Net profit for 11 months of 2023 according to IFRS amounted to 417.5 billion rubles. The bank maintains its profit forecast for the full year in the amount of more than 430 billion rubles.
