The deal concerning the acquisition of KFC fast food restaurants is expected to close before the end of the year, Konstantin Kotov, director of the Food Service Group of Companies and Smart Service LTD LLC, said at the Made in Udmurtia forum. Currently, the documents have been submitted to the Federal Antimonopoly Service, and in a few days it is planned to submit them to the commission for approval.
“And then the rebranding process awaits us. We hope that you will be able to convince the partners, since this process is not solved like in McDonalds, that is, rights cannot be taken away here. If people want to go and build a brand in Russia with us, then we give them such an opportunity. We expect that people will move from FSC to Rostic`s, and this will be a voluntary transition,” Mr. Kotov emphasized.
As Konstantin Kotov noted, about 40,000 employees from all regions of the country where KFC restaurants are present are behind the deal.
Recall that the American company Yum! Brands, which owns the brand of the KFC restaurant chain, has signed a sale and purchase agreement for 70 of its own chain restaurants with the Izhevsk franchisee, Smart Service LTD LLC, owned by entrepreneurs Andrey Oskolokov and Konstantin Kotov.
