The public organization “Business Russia” sent a letter to Deputy Minister of Economic Development Dmitry Volvach, proposing to issue foreign investors a multiple-entry business visa valid for three years. This was reported “News” with a link to the letter.
“Business Russia” proposed issuing such a document at the request of one of four business associations, including the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and “Opora Rossii”. The letter proposes to develop recommendations that will describe the steps necessary to obtain a visa.
The Ministry of Economy told Izvestia that, together with interested departments and Business Russia, work has begun on launching a multiple-entry business visa. Currently, foreign investors can only obtain a visa for one year.
In June, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the government to simplify entry into the country for foreign investors and highly qualified specialists. In particular, the president pointed out the need to simplify the procedure for issuing visas and work permits.
