Budget expenditures for the development of mainline infrastructure will be cut

Financing of the activities of the comprehensive plan for the modernization and expansion of the main infrastructure (CPMI) will decrease in 2024 by almost 12% compared to the planned expenses fixed in the budget for 2023–2025, and will amount to 101.6 billion rubles. This follows from the draft budget for the next three years. Budget bill for 2024–2026 was submitted to the State Duma at the end of September and has not yet been considered.
Expenditures on the development of sea ports will be cut more than others: they will drop four times compared to the planned values of the previous budget to 2.8 billion rubles. Expenses for the development of regional airports for 2024 were also significantly reduced – by 21.9% to RUB 27.4 billion. By 3% to RUB 15.7 billion. budget expenditures for the development of railway approaches to the seaports of the North-Western basin have been cut.
