Hilary Mantel, a British writer, literary critic and two-time Booker Prize winner, has died at the age of 71. This was announced in social networks by the publishing company HarperCollins.

Hilary Mantel has written 14 books. Her most famous work is Wolfhall, for which she won the Booker Prize. The book has been translated into 36 languages of the world. Hilary Mantel won her second Booker Prize for Bring in the Bodies, the sequel to Wolfhall. The TV series “Wolf Hall”, filmed by the BBC, is based on these two books of hers. The film was awarded the Golden Globe, Emmy and BAFTA awards.
