British Flybe announced the cancellation of all flights and layoffs of employees

The British airline Flybe canceled all flights and stopped selling tickets, the carrier was transferred to external management, reported Bloomberg and Sky News TV channel, citing a company statement on Twitter.

The airline operated flights from Belfast, Birmingham and Heathrow to airports across the UK, as well as to Amsterdam and Geneva. The company planned to operate almost 300 flights next week alone and carry more than 22,000 passengers, the agency writes. Other airlines, including British Airways and EasyJet, offered discounts to Flybe’s customers amid the shutdown of Flybe. In addition, both airlines have invited former Flybe employees to take up positions in their divisions.
