The singer and Honored Artist of Russia Boris Moiseev was buried at the Troekurovsky cemetery. Before that, they said goodbye to him in the funeral hall of the Troekurovsky cemetery, TASS reports.
The singer was buried at the site number 21. Actors Boris Klyuev and Sergei Sosnovsky are buried nearby. The funeral was attended by Nikolai Baskov, Philip Kirkorov, Lolita Milyavskaya, Nadezhda Babkina, Sergei Penkin, as well as Boris Moiseev’s art director Sergei Gorokh.
Boris Moiseev died September 27 at the age of 68. The cause of death has not yet been established. In 2010, the singer survived two ischemic strokes. After that, he never fully recovered.
Boris Moiseev was born in Mogilev in 1954 in a women’s penal colony. His mother, Genya Moises, was one of the political prisoners in the USSR. Boris Moiseev is one of the first queer artists in Russia. The singer began his career as part of the Expression trio, performing together with Alla Pugacheva’s concert group. The most famous compositions of Boris Moiseev are “Blue Moon”, “The Nutcracker”.
