Boeing to hire 10,000 employees in 2023

American Aerospace Corporation Boeing informed plans to hire 10,000 new employees this year. This is slightly less than Boeing hired in 2022 – 14 thousand employees, but at the same time reflects the continued increase in production. The company’s total workforce at the end of last year was 156,000. This year, Boeing plans to lay off some support workers while increasing the number of employees in areas such as aircraft design and manufacturing.
Previously, Boeing’s main competitor was Airbus. announced about plans to hire 13 thousand employees in 2023. At the end of last year, Airbus for the fourth time bypassed Boeing for aircraft deliveries: 661 aircraft vs. 480. Boeing on Wednesday introduced reporting for 2022: the company finished it with another loss of $5.1 billion, its revenue increased by 7%, to $66.6 billion.
At the same time, Boeing is gradually improving results compared to 2020 and 2021, when both deliveries and financial results of the company were poor due to the suspension of the operation of the 737 MAX and 787 Dreamliner aircraft. Thus, the company plans to deliver from 400 to 450 737 MAX aircraft in 2023, against 374 in 2022.
